Copperdot is the home for professional dance practice in Norwich.

It is our platform for growth, innovation and change.

It is our space to extend our practice and our community. We are interested in making and creating, playing and finding new ways to make work, pushing boundaries, working with all media and artists. Evolving practice and continuing our love for movement. If you are interested in meeting us, email the studio and we can let you know how to connect.

about copperdot

The artists at copperdot are specialists in their field. They are engaged in professional dance practice which includes making choreographic pieces, creating live performances, films and installations, touring shows, investing in research, treating and rehabilitating clients through Physiotherapy, Clinical Pilates, Therapeutic Yoga, Falls Prevention, Dance Movement Psychotherapy and Somatic Practices.

Our space consists of a large light studio with a beautiful professional dance floor. The studio overlooks a lovely outdoor space that we are beginning to enjoy. We have a smaller studio, a number of clinic rooms and a hot desk area.

The studio is on the edge of Norwich City centre, in the village of Trowse, with easy parking a lovely playground next door.

At the heart of the work at copperdot is a love for movement. The scope of practice amongst those who work on site is vast, which means something new is always on the horizon.

As part of our professional practice we meet, we share, we review, we challenge, we open our doors to others, we collaborate.

Copperdot is helping our community grow, helping many of us to do what we love to do. Please support the space and join us on our journey.

We are only at the beginning …..

“The name copperdot was born in lockdown. It was whilst trying to be positive about the future - my future – taking on a space and working in Dance, Health and Wellbeing.

The colour copper resonates with me, the stages the metal goes through, being new, then ageing and changing. It is also an element essential to health, we need copper in our bodies. And the dot? Inspired by a lovely book by Peter Reynolds, the ‘dot’…It’s a place to start, making a mark, a beginning.”
